OUR HISTORY
Nolan Carter Architectural Design is a family-owned, full-service architectural and design firm that works with a variety of dental, health care, and financial clients – focusing on new construction or facility additions.
Founded in 2015 by Ian and Toni Wilson, and named after their two sons, Nolan and Carter, Nolan Carter has become one of the fastest-growing and well-respected architectural firms in Wisconsin.
After dedicating decades of his career to the construction trades, Ian witnessed firsthand how the client’s needs were often not taken into consideration. He realized that working for these other firms no longer aligned with his vision, so he and Toni set off to create their own firm – focusing on their mission… being an advocate for their clients.

Our People
Ian Wilson Principal Architect
Ian Wilson co-founded Nolan Carter Architectural Design in 2015 with his wife, Toni Wilson. Ian has over twenty years of experience in architecture, construction, and related fields. During that time Ian built a unique skill set that combines practical construction knowledge with design abilities. Ian takes great pride in helping his clients create a vision and see that vision through to completion. He enjoys finding functionality in a design that helps improve his client’s daily lives.
Ian is a current board member for the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Architectural Advisory Committee. He previously served as the President of the American Institute of Architects Northeast Wisconsin Section. Ian was born and raised locally and has lived most of his life in Northeast Wisconsin. He is a veteran, having served in the United States Army.
Toni Wilson President
Toni Wilson co-founded Nolan Carter Architectural Design in 2015 with her husband, Ian Wilson. Toni graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. Previously, she worked for many years in the management of a local food testing laboratory. The organization and attention to detail required in this role prepared her well for her role at Nolan Carter. Toni was born and raised in Green Bay, WI and enjoys having a positive impact on her hometown through her business.
Len Olson Architectural Project Manager
Len Olson joined Nolan Carter Architectural Design in 2021. Len graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with a bachelor’s degree in Management. His experience executing projects as a subcontractor, general contractor and owner’s representative brings a unique perspective to overseeing Contract Administration at Nolan Carter. Len has been involved with new construction and renovation projects throughout the country, but he is most fond of working in Wisconsin. Len’s emphasis on relationship building, thoughtful planning and logical solutions leads toward delivering successful projects.
Jenn Rasmussen Architectural Designer
Jenn Rasmussen joined Nolan Carter Architectural Design in 2022. Jenn graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an associate degree in architectural technology. She has been involved in bringing various projects from conceptual design to construction documents. The process of getting to know a client, taking their ideas, and turning them into reality is something she really enjoys. She finds pride in problem solving, proposing new design ideas, and providing practical solutions to clients.
Brenda Brisinte Executive Assistant
Brenda Brisinte joined Nolan Carter Architectural Design in 2024. Brenda attended Northcentral Wisconsin Technical College and is an accomplished Executive Assistant with extensive experience in Marketing & Design and Data Analytics. Brenda is committed to continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration, striving to achieve excellence in all endeavors. Through integrity, and a results-driven approach, she will make meaningful contributions to the Nolan Carter team and our clients.
